DirectX 9.0c is the last version of DirectX supported for Windows XP with DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 being supported on Windows Vista and Windows 7. The DirectX Runtime which includes Direct3D, DirectInput and DirectSound can be updated by installing the latest Service Pack and is not included in this update.
