Description
Windows Media Player 11 is the latest release of Microsoft's video and audio player. Here's the low-down:
The entire look of Media Player has been revamped with a significant update to the controls and the way cover artwork is displayed.
Windows Media Player 11 features the new music store URGE - a joint venture between MTV and Microsoft. You can also access the following stores: Audible, FYE, Live365, Movielink, MSN Music, Napster, Passalong, Puretracks, Wal-Mart, and XM Radio.
The downside is that Media Player will only support Microsoft Digital Rights Management (DRM) tracks. That means you won't be able to play songs purchased through iTunes.
As expected, Media Player 11 also can rip CDs and play videos/DVDS. It can also organise music libraries and manage downloads to media devices (eg MP3 players).
